Freedom From Hunger

Freedom from Hunger is an international development organization working in sixteen countries across the globe. Freedom from Hunger is a nonprofit, nongovernmental, non-sectarian organization. Established in 1946, Freedom from Hunger is recognized for fighting hunger with innovative self-help programs. In 1988, the organization developed the world's first integrated microcredit/health and nutrition education program. Today, the Credit with Education program is serving over 309,000 families in some of the poorest countries on earth.

FFH have developed an excellent "Technical Resource Site" which focuses on the lessons they have learned from more than a decade of experience implementing, expanding and evaluating the Credit with Education program. They provide descriptions of their integrated poverty-lending and education methodology, plus access to research papers, how-to manuals, online resources and other technical information about Freedom from Hunger's work. They also provide interesting non-formal health, nutrition, population, and business curricula. The resource site is designed for use by students, practitioners and donors in the fields of microfinance, public health and adult learning.  -  Inglés (en)
